Ally Macdonald Steps Down

Brora Rangers would like to inform our supporters that our Manager Ally MacDonald will leave his position at the end of the season.

Ally informed the Board at a recent meeting, that after careful consideration he would like to stand down for personal reasons at the end of the season.

Although the Board were disappointed with the request from Ally we fully accepted his reasons for his decision.

During his trophy laden time at Brora Rangers Ally has picked up 12 winners medals which is an unbelievable feat.

Director Kevin Munro added- Ally has been a joy to deal with since he took on the Player/Manager role at the club. His rapport with the players, and everyone at the club is hard to surpass. The hours Ally has put in to improve Brora Rangers is unbelievable. Ally should be very proud of the Scottish Cup run this season and leading the team to victory recently in the Highland League cup final as a Player/Manager.

Chairman Scott Mackay added – I would like to thank Ally for his time as manager of Brora Rangers Football Club. He has gone about his role with the professionalism and commitment required of a Brora Rangers Football Club Manager. This was highlighted in taking the Highland League Cup home to Brora, a fantastic achievement for himself and the club, and our magnificent run in the Scottish Cup. I will miss our interactions and would like to wish him all the very best for the future.

Everyone at Brora Rangers wish Ally and his family all the best for the future.

We will now begin the process to identify a suitable candidate to Manage the team in the 2024/25 season
