Brora opened the scoring at 19 minutes when Sutherland scored after a corner was played in and he calmly slotted it past Darren Jameson in the Stenhousemuir goal.
Stenhousemuir went close just before half time when a well worked move ended up with Adam Browns effort going inches wide of the post.
Brora doubled their lead on the hour mark after Adam Brown was dispossessed by Ewan who drove down the right and cut it back to Macrae who slotted home.
Brora were able to defend well and see the closing stages out to win 2 -0 and deservedly go through to the 3rdround of the cup.
